Summer is a time for making discoveries, trying new things, for having fun! Fillmore Arts Camp offers quality arts instruction at a reasonable price, combining a relaxed learning environment with artistic challenges.

The Camp

We offer a Junior Program for 6 to 8 year olds and a Senior Program for 9 to 14 year olds. Many of the teachers are the same for both programs. The Juniors and Seniors begin each day with separate morning meetings for announcements and get acquainted activities.

Junior Program

The 6 to 8 year old camper is assigned to one peer group, takes classes with that same group. We will accept 5 year old campers, if they have completed kindergarten. All Junior camper groups will have a “Lead Counselor” who will assist and travel with them to all their classes.

Classes rotate on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday/Thursday, with a (Mon. Wed., Fri.) swim and a (Tues., Thurs.) outdoor game period.

The 6, 7 and 8 year old class offerings may include:

• Drama (Theater Games & Creative Story Telling)• Sculpture • Stretch & Move • Visual Art • Puppet Making • Music • Creative Movement • Sports & Games • Small Group Percussion, Violin or Piano • Spanish • Square Dancing

*Junior Campers who are not current members of Jelleff Boys & Girls Club must pay an additional one time summer fee of $20 for a Jelleff membership. This membership entitles your child the use of Jelleff's pool, through August 31, 2008. Jr. Campers will travel to Jelleff Pool in Georgetown by Charter bus on Mon., Wed., & Fridays.
