Summer2012 Celebrates Our 31th Year of Creative Fun for Kids Ages 6 -15!


Location: The Fillmore Arts Camp is across the street from the Georgetown Safeway on the third floor of the Fillmore Arts Center/Hardy Middle School Building. We have three new kilns in our ceramics studio and a state-of-the-art computer classroom. All our facility is air-conditioned.

The Programs: We offer a Junior Program for 6 to 9 year olds and a Senior Program for 10 to 15 year olds. Many of the teachers are the same for both programs.

In addition to our extensive visual & performing arts program, we offer classes in tennis, basketball, outdoor games & a swim period.
The Juniors and Seniors begin each day with separate morning meetings for announcements and get acquainted activities.
Junior Program 6 - 9
Senior Program 10 - 15

We will accept 5 year old campers, if they have completed kindergarten. The 6 to 9 year old camper is assigned to one peer group, takes classes with that same group. All Junior camper groups have a “Lead Counselor” who assist and travel with them to all their classes. Classes rotate on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Tuesday/Thursday, with a (Mon. Wed., Fri.) swim and a (Tues., Thurs.) outdoor game period.

Jr. Campers will walk to Jelleff Pool 3-4 days a week. The other 1-2 days Junior campers will have outdoor games & a choice of an arts or activity class.

The 10 to 15 year old camper has the opportunity to shape his or her summer schedule by selecting from a variety of course offerings that rotate on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday and Tuesday & Thursday basis.

    Seniors will select all their classes two weeks before each session begins on a first come first serve basis. We reserve the right to place campers in appropriate classes based on skill level and experience.

    Please Note: Class selections for Junior Groups and Seniors may vary from session to session due to teacher availability and scheduling.
    Class selection lists, additional camp information, and necessary camper forms will be sent to registered campers 1-2 weeks before each session.

Morning meeting MIDDLE SCHOOL campers may attend AFTERNOONS ONLY (12:45 - 3:45 PM) on a daily basis for session I or II.

Classes may include Advanced Classes in Ceramics, Watercolors and Mixed Media Art.
